Is it loud enough for you?
Upon leaning out of the window, I was blinded by the light.
A sun that shed no warmth shone through pine trees (the kind I hate).
Hair was blown from my face by a wind racing to keep up with the cold.
I saw signs touting nonsense: ice, beer, and cigarettes.
When I looked away from the window, the world was surrounded by a haze of light.
I was enthralled - delighted.
Then I realized it was just dust -
deposited on my glasses by that racing wind.
Obscuring my vision, not purifying it.
That's when the music stopped being loud enough.
I liked this, but there's something that doesn't seem quite right to me...
